Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to bookings made through BookMyStay for hotels, resorts, villas, homestays, apartments, packages, and related services available on bookmystay.travel. Booking support and contact details are publicly listed through the website contact information in Lucknow, including phone and email channels for help with cancellation and booking issues.

1. Property-specific policy
Cancellation and refund terms may vary from property to property and from booking to booking. The cancellation terms shown during booking, on the offer page, in your confirmation message, or in your invoice/voucher shall apply to that specific reservation.

2. Types of bookings
A booking may fall into one of the following categories:

Fully refundable within a specified time window.

Partially refundable with deductions.

Non-refundable.

Reschedulable but not refundable.

3. Cancellation by customer
If you wish to cancel a booking, you should contact BookMyStay as early as possible through the listed phone numbers or email support, or use the available booking communication channel. The effective cancellation time will be based on when the request is received and acknowledged.

Refund amount, if any, will depend on the booking policy, timing of cancellation, seasonality, partner terms, payment status, and any non-refundable charges already incurred.

4. Non-refundable components
Convenience fees, payment gateway charges, taxes, service charges, partner-imposed deductions, and last-minute booking charges may be non-refundable where applicable and lawfully permitted.

5. Refund timelines
Where a refund is approved, BookMyStay will initiate the eligible refund to the original source of payment. The final credit timeline may vary depending on the bank, UPI provider, card issuer, Razorpay, payment method, and settlement cycle.

6. Failed or pending bookings
If payment is successful but the booking cannot be confirmed due to unavailability, technical failure, duplicate inventory, pricing error, or partner-side rejection, the amount paid shall be refunded or otherwise resolved as per the applicable booking/payment status.

7. No-show
If the guest fails to arrive, does not check in on time, cannot provide valid ID, violates property rules, or is denied check-in for non-compliance with property policy, the booking may be treated as a no-show. In such cases, refund eligibility will depend on the applicable terms of that booking.

8. Cancellation by property or partner
If a booking is cancelled by the property, travel partner, or service provider due to overbooking, operational issues, closure, force majeure, or other reasons, BookMyStay will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative or process the applicable refund based on the amount recoverable and the circumstances of the cancellation.

9. Chargebacks and disputes
If a user raises a payment dispute or chargeback without first contacting BookMyStay for resolution, the booking may be suspended while the matter is reviewed. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may lead to account restrictions and recovery action where legally permissible.
